Manual lymphatic drainage is the lightest work Lynne does. Light, rhythmic, repetitive strokes, worked slowly and in one direction, over ninety minutes. There is no deep pressure and nothing that makes you brace. Most people find the repetition itself is the point. The rhythm is so steady and so unhurried that the mind gives up trying to keep track of it, and you drift.

It suits you if you find ordinary massage too firm, if you want something calming rather than corrective, or if you simply want the longest and quietest session on the list.

The session runs ninety minutes, the longest treatment Lynne offers, and the pace does not change from start to finish. You stay warm and covered throughout, with only the area being worked uncovered. Afterwards most people want a slow start rather than a rush back out of the door, so it is worth not booking anything tightly on the other side of it.
